Professor Jost Jonas is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and clinical scientist, chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology/Heidelberg University/Germany, member of the German Academy of Science, Glaucoma Research Society, Macula Society, Retina Society, and Academia Ophthalmologica Internationalis. In addition, Professor Jonas is honorary Member of the French Ophthalmological Society and Asia-Pacific Vitreoretinal Society, and received the International Gold Award of the Chinese Ophthalmologic Society.
