The Siberian Centre for the Prevention and Treatment of Myopia has again participated in World Sight Day for 2023.
This year, a team of specialists worked at the “Warm House” Centre for Helping Children Left Without Parents. All children underwent ophthalmological diagnostics, with prescription glasses selected and presented where necessary to help those with vision impairments.
IMI Ambassador and Director of the centre, Irina Smirnova, spoke live on the Siberian Radio “Silver Rain” on the topic “Prevention of childhood myopia”, answering a variety of questions from the community. In addition, on the Russia TV channel, she took part in the Open Health Studio, where they discussed the problems facing children’s vision, with a focus on myopia.
